The Synoptic is a conceptual instrumental album based around the story arc of a Spiderman cartoon from the late '90s. When played top-to-bottom, The Synoptic tells the story of a fiendish alien invasion on an unsuspecting world, and the psychological torment caused by said extraterrestrials. Containing only original music, The Synoptic was composed, recorded, mixed and mastered by Toronto musician Phaze in his bedroom. Aided by its deviant plot, The Synoptic explores a wide range of moods and genres through heavily layered instrumentation and head-nod inducing beats.
